Terms of use
Last updated 28 August 2026
Declare It is a free prediction game. These are the rules for using it, kept short because the game is meant to be fun rather than a contract negotiation.
The game
- Declare It is free to play. Any wagers, pots or forfeits inside a game are play money between friends, and no real money passes through Declare It.
- Scores, fixtures and results come from third-party data feeds. They're near-live and occasionally corrected after full-time; tables recalculate when that happens.
Your account
- One account per person. Multiple accounts to game the tables will be removed.
- Pick a display name that wouldn't embarrass you in front of your grandmother. We may rename or remove offensive names, profiles or chat messages.
- You're responsible for what you post in game chat. Be sharp, not cruel. Hosts can switch chat off, and we can suspend accounts that abuse it.
- You must be 13 or over to play, and 18 or over to use game chat.
Fair play
- Predictions are secret until they lock, and trying to get around that is cheating.
- Don't scrape, spam, overload or otherwise abuse the service.
The boring but necessary bits
- Declare It is provided as-is, free of charge, with no warranty. We work hard to keep it up and accurate, but we can't promise either, and we're not liable for losses arising from using a free game.
- We can suspend or remove accounts that break these rules, and change or retire features as the game evolves (the roadmap is public).
- The Declare It name, design and code are ours; your predictions and messages are yours.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
